Climate Change exacerbates the range of risks to the Great lakes
For the month of August, the Green Team explores our changing climate. For the second week, we highlight the National Climate Assessment which outlines particular threats climate change. Decisions made today determine risk exposure for current and future generations, either broadening or limiting options to reduce the negative consequences of climate change. For Wisconsin and the Midwest, extreme heat, heavy downpours, and flooding will affect infrastructure, health, agriculture, forestry, transportation, and air and water quality. Climate change will also exacerbate a range of risks to the Great Lakes.
